A little while ago, some very important news came out for fans and insiders in the beauty world. Cosmoprof Bologna, the benchmark event for the cosmetics industry, after being cancelled in 2020 (see here all the trade fairs cancelled and/or postponed in 2020) and then postponed in 2021, will finally take place from 10 to 14 March 2022. The wait is due to the desire to restart the event carefully and safely, given the continuing health emergency. However, the exhibition’s staff is already working on both the logistical and content aspects of the exhibition to ensure a quality event as it has always been perceived.
The 2022 edition of Cosmoprof Bologna
Visitor routes will follow the traditional division by distribution channel and product sector.
In particular, this is the subdivision of the Exhibition days:
- from Thursday to Sunday the halls of Cosmopack, the exhibition dedicated to the cosmetics sector, will be opened. This exhibition mainly presents the raw materials and industrial production and packaging machinery used in this industry
- from Friday to Monday Cosmo|Hair, Nail and Beauty Salon will be dedicated to professionals.
Fiera Bologna has already organised some digital initiatives such as WeCosmoprof International which took place from 7 to 18 June this year. This virtual space hosted, for the first time, all the exhibitors and visitors of the Cosmoprof exhibitions.
Cosmoprof Bologna is a truly crucial moment for the world of Beauty, because it is the one during which the business strategies for the entire year are defined, new collections are launched and new fruitful collaborations are born on a global scale. For this reason, the organisation preferred to wait a few more months to allow an event that would be in line with the expectations of the participants. In addition, this time will be necessary to return to experiencing trade fairs in a safer way and in line with current health regulations.
WeCosmoprof International, the new online format to involve all Cosmetics operators
As already mentioned, WeCosmoprof International, an event designed to connect all members of the global beauty community through a moment of updating and innovation, has taken place in recent days.
The digital event was a real success: 698 companies from 40 countries and more than 20,000 international operators from Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania took part in it.
Cosmoprof My Match is the online platform that has made it possible for companies, distributors, operators, retailers and buyers to communicate their business.
The staff developed this virtual space in an interactive way and with multilingual support and generated more than 52,200 meeting requests.
In addition, 5,000 operators were able to discover product presentations and various refresher sessions to visualise the future of Beauty for the coming months.
The success of this project depends on the collaboration with Informa Markets and Cosmoprof’s various partners around the world. These are Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, Cosmoprof North America, Cosmoprof India, Cosmoprof Asia and Cosmoprof CBE Asean.
